Jean Mims

Cofounder and Executive Director of the Community Pregnancy Center of Lake Norman Jean has served at the Pregnancy Center for over 35 years. Her experience of GOD’s redeeming grace after her own abortion compels her to share that love and grace with others. Her love for the LORD, passion for the unborn, and care for women in crisis has impacted thousands of lives since the pregnancy center opened its doors.

We operate solely on the funds donated by individuals/families, churches, and companies local to
Lake Norman. We do not accept government funding of any kind. This fundraising event accounts
for raising more than one third of our annual budget.

Our goal for the fundraising dinner this year is $150,000

Every dollar raised above the cost of the event goes toward funding our mission. The donations from this event fuel the mission of the Pregnancy Center. It takes nearly $1,200 to empower one mom to choose life for her child.
Your gift will ensure our services remain free of charge to our clients.

Mission Statement:

The Community Pregnancy Center is a Christ centered ministry committed to upholding the SANCTITY OF HUMAN LIFE by demonstrating the love of Christ to women facing crisis pregnancies through the provision of spiritual, physical, and emotional support and by proclaiming the gospel.

Services:

The following services are free of charge and strictly confidential.

  • Pregnancy tests and limited ultrasound.
  • Education on pregnancy, abortion and its risks, abortion alternatives and adoption education.
  • Referrals for medical care, Social Services and adoption.
  • HOPE – one year support program.  This group focuses on parenting, including ongoing education, prenatal care, parenting skills, life skills, job and interview education, etc. Bi-monthly Bible study is a  part of HOPE as well. Maternity clothes, infant to toddler clothes, baby furniture, and food and formula supplied through HOPE.
  • “Forgiven and Set Free” post-abortion counseling for those experiencing the ongoing pain of a past abortion.
  • Counseling on sexual lifestyle  decisions  and  the  biblical view of abstinence. Education on abstinence offered to our community.

 

Table Host Information

Prayerfully consider, then personally invite at least 8 people including you to attend our virtual Fundraising Event.  Please feel free to invite as many virtual table guests as you would like. 

It takes nearly $1,200 to empower one mom to choose life for her child at the Pregnancy Center.

This year our goal is to empower 125 moms through this Fundraising Event

If each virtual table  group empowers 2 moms we will reach our goal.

$2,400 may sound like an ambitious goal, but it helps to know what we are reaching for
and what we are trusting GOD to provide.

There are just three steps to follow:

  1. Pray. Let GOD lead you as you invite guests for your virtual table.
  2. As you are deciding who to invite, think of people of influence in your church, neighborhood, or work place (doctors, lawyers, business professionals, your pastor, etc.) who would have a heart for our ministry and the means to give.
  3. Share your heart for the pregnancy care ministry with them and let them know it’s a fundraising event.

To put things in perspective, remember that our goal can be reached through one time gifts as well as monthly pledges.  If each of your 8 guests pledged to give as little as $25 per month, it would meet your virtual table’s goal.

Make sure your guests understand that there is no charge for them to join the event.  The more guests at your virtual table–the better! But don’t be afraid to let them know it is a Fundraising Event.  The ministry is funded by many people who are not necessarily wealthy, but have a heart and a commitment to the ministry.

 

After receiving a yes from your invited guests, let them know that you will be sure that they get the information to access the event. This information will be provided to you by the ministry.  All of the necessary details for the event will be included in future correspondence from the ministry.

Please complete the necessary “Table Host Guest List” and return it by April 29, 2021.  You may send this list by fax or email. 

Be sure to include your guests’ email addresses.

Reconfirm your list by, May 13, 2021. Call the CPC (704-664-4673) or email us additions or deletions.

You can continue inviting virtual guests up to the time of the event. Just remember to provide us with their information so that we can send them pertinent information. 

Check in with your guests the week of the banquet to make sure they received the information they need to access the event and to thank them for joining.

$10,000 Client Ultrasound Room Sponsor

Our ultrasound room is where moms are able to see their baby for the first time and hear the heartbeat. This impactful moment often changes everything for a mom in crisis. 

Your gift will help ensure that this service is able to be ongoing.

$7,500 Client Consultation Room Sponsor

The consultation room is where moms are able to share their struggles and concerns about their pregnancy without judgement. They will become educated on pregnancy options, fetal development, and risks and side effects of abortion while a compassionate caring advocate listens to them and encourages them in their time of crisis. This room plays a vital role in helping moms feel empowered to choose life.

$5,000 Client Education Classroom Sponsor

The Client Education Classroom is the room where our HOPE program meetings are held. Our HOPE program is a parenting support program. Moms are able to attend meetings which include Bible studies and important life skills lessons to enhance the lives of their family, while earning essential items such as diapers, wipes, clothes, and baby equipment.

$2,500 Boutique Sponsor

Our Baby Boutique is stocked full of baby clothing and other baby items such as diapers, wipes, toiletries, baby equipment– anything a baby needs for the first year. These items are offered to moms in crisis. Moms are often empowered to choose life when they know that there is ongoing help and hope.

If you become a Boutique Sponsor…

  • Quarter-page featured ad in the evening program
  • Your name listed in the program as a sponsor.
  • Your name displayed during the event

It costs approximately $1,200 to empower one mom to choose life for her child. Your sponsorship will directly impact one mom’s ability to choose life for her child by supporting our medical services and educational programs. Our total goal for this year’s Banquet is to empower 125 moms.
