Dear Friends,
Thanks to you, this year’s banquet was a success!! We exceeded our goal because you allowed God to use you. Our speaker, Lysa Terkeurst, also allowed God to use her by sharing about her abortion. If you have experienced this, you know how incredibly painful it is to even say the word out loud. She also shared about the healing journey she took through a Bible study called “Forgiven and Set Free” written by Linda Cochrane. Linda says “Forgiven and Set Free” effectively ministers God’s healing grace to women who are suffering remorse and guilt after an abortion.” Our center has been offering this study for decades.
When the Holy Spirit laid my name on Jean’s heart for the bookkeeping position at the CPC, He wanted me to experience true healing and shed His holy light on my dark past that I had kept secret for 30 years. Jean lovingly led me and the many other ladies through this journey. John 8:36 says “So if the Son sets you free, you will be free indeed.” I am so thankful for this freedom in Christ!! Second Corinthians 1:4 says that God comforts us in all our troubles, so that we can comfort those in any trouble with the comfort we ourselves receive from God. So we are proud to tell you about “healed.”
The “healed.” ministry’s mission is to spread the word of God’s healing to women who have had an abortion, and to lovingly lead them through the recovering journey of the “Forgiven and Set Free” Bible study. We are blessed to offer this study to all women in the Lake Norman area at two locations, Mooresville and Huntersville, in fall and spring sessions each year and it is completely free.
We are your wife, mother, grandmother, sister, daughter, aunt, niece, granddaughter and friends — we are everywhere and we are quietly hurting. Praise God that He offers us hope. He has provided a confidential way for us to lovingly support and guide them to experience His healing. Can you imagine the freedom?
